In just over a week….
On October 17th, 2018, at the Club Regent Event Centre (1425 Regent Ave. W), at precisely 13:00:00 UTC (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CDT), the Manitoba GIS Users Group, (MGUG) will be hosting some of the leading thinkers and speakers in the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) landscape.
These industry leaders will share their thoughts on subjects ranging from Golden-winged Warblers, mapping biospheres, and dealing with data, to algae blooms through social media, and how the future of drones will impact industry.
The annual Manitoba GIS Users Group (MGUG) conference is a premiere GIS event in Manitoba for students and professionals alike. This year’s event has turning out to be a blockbuster!

If you want to attend the MGUG conference, then the first (and only) thing you need to do is to register to attend the event (click here). Then all you really need to do is go. But really, signing-up is key!
The Manitoba GIS User Group (MGUG) is a group of geomatics professionals and interested individuals using or supporting the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for spatial data management, analysis, and visualization. Formed to facilitate communication between people working in all areas of GIS, the User Group meets to allow its members to learn more about current activities and technologies within the industry and to network with their peers.
Please, don’t actually cancel an important meeting because of our conference! …maybe just move it. 🙂
