CANCELLED – FOSS4G 2020
August 24 @ 9:00 am - August 29 @ 5:00 pm
In light of the global pandemic and following careful consideration, the Calgary Local Organizing Committee announces the cancellation of the international conference, Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial (FOSS4G) which was intended to take place in August 2020.
“The coronavirus pandemic continues to disrupt normal business operations and we understand that many are simply trying to stay afloat. With health concerns, an economic downturn, and uncertainty around global travel policies, we feel we couldn’t successfully move forward with FOSS4G 2020”, says Co-Chair, Jonathan Neufeld.
FOSS4G Calgary thanks their partners, suppliers, and participants for their support over the last year. Full refunds will be issued for anyone who has purchased advanced tickets and our sponsors. Despite the current challenges, the open source community is strong and FOSS4G will continue in 2021.
The next FOSS4G event will take place in August 2021 in Buenos Ares, Argentina.
