The Manitoba GIS Users Group needs your sponsorship support for our operating expenses for a year period.

MGUG is a non-profit organization that provides services to the GIS/Geomatics community in Manitoba by:

• Remaining accessible to all through free membership.
• Facilitating communication, open discussion and presentations of interest to our membership.
• Advertising and promoting local events.
• Providing opportunities for professional networking.
• Facilitating and fostering business opportunities in Manitoba though the development of a Manitoba Geomatics Directory.
• Maintaining a website for free posting of job notices, local events, sharing workshop and conference presentations, and community news.
• Organizing conferences and workshops that highlight Manitoba’s Geomatics stories.
• Offering bursaries in support of Manitobans pursuing an education in GIS.

• Advertisement! Our membership is 500 strong and growing. As a sponsor, we will acknowledge your support and commitment on our website, at workshops and conferences (Bronze, Silver and Gold), all email correspondence with our members (Silver and Gold) as well as advertising space in our new newsletter (Gold).

MGUG’s Achievements For The 2011-2012 Fiscal Year

We are proud to report the following achievements:

• Our two annual workshop/conferences have attracted 500+ Geomatics professionals for non-vendor specific networking and learning opportunities.
• We have hosted speakers from a wide variety of organizations including Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada, ATLIS Geomatics, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), City of Winnipeg, Google Earth, Manitoba Conservation, Manitoba Geocaching Association, Manitoba Hydro, Manitoba Model Forest, Manitoba Water Stewardship, Microsoft, North/South Consultants, Northern Lights Heritage Services, TECTERRA and many more.
• We have provided two ($500) Post-Secondary Awards to Manitoba-based post-secondary students with a background in GIS in order to support them in their endeavors.
• Production of a Newsletter containing news on MGUG activities and Manitoba GIS and Geomatics related events, news, projects, reviews, tips & tricks, etc.
• Website enhancements have increased our online traffic by 500%!
• Continued growth in Manitoba’s only Geomatics Directory.

• Fill out the attached invoice and return it with a cheque to the address provided. We will contact you for your logo and URL link to your website upon receipt of payment
