In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)
- Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization do not necessarily have to be part of a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
Experience in developing or applying analytical techniques or qualitative/quantitative methodology to advance a project.
Significant* experience in producing and presenting material (in at least two of the following: reports, presentations, project findings, and briefings) to decision-makers.
Significant* experience establishing and maintaining working relationships with internal or external partners/stakeholders.
- “Significant” is defined as the depth and breadth of experience that would normally have been gained performing the duties for a period of two (2) years.
If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)
Master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics or discipline related to the position, such as but not limited to finance, international relations, political science and computer sciences.
Experience with analytical tools, databases and/or mapping software (e.g. i2, iBase, Access, ArcGIS)
Experience developing plans that use effective tools and methodologies to research and collect open source information (OSINT)

Security Clearance: Royal Canadian Mounted Police Top Secret
Be in possession of a valid driver’s licence.
Willingness and ability to work overtime as and when required and on short notice.
Willingness and ability to travel domestically/internationally to attend training/work away from home, as necessary.
Willingness and ability to work in a busy police environment, including exposure to unsettling and/or graphic material.
Willingness and ability to participate in the Intelligence Analyst Understudy Training Program.

Testing will be held in Regina, SK and Winnipeg, MB. The cost to attend the assessment will be the candidate’s responsibility. Candidates will be required to pay for their own travel (including travel for assessment purposes), and may be required to pay for their own relocation expenses.
You will be required to demonstrate how you meet the education and experience criteria (essential and asset) for the initial screening, in answering online screening questions. It is NOT sufficient to only state that the qualifications are met or to provide a listing of current or past responsibilities. Rather, you must clearly demonstrate HOW, WHEN and WHERE the qualification was met through substantiation by examples. Successful candidates will require a valid Top Secret RCMP security clearance prior to appointment and throughout the tenure of their employment. The process to obtain RCMP security clearance involves a security interview and a field investigation which includes reference checks, verification of credit, education, previous employment, alcohol and/or drug abuse. As such, the process may take several weeks to complete.

The successful candidate will be required to provide original documentation of proof of Canadian Citizenship prior to appointment. Other candidates may also be asked to provide this documentation at various stages in the selection process. The following documents will be accepted as proof: Provincial or territorial birth certificate; Naturalization certificates (issued prior to Jan. 1, 1947); Registration of Birth Abroad certificates (issued between Jan. 1, 1947 and Feb. 14, 1977); Certificates of Retention; Citizenship certificates.
Candidates will be required to show original proof of education. Candidates with foreign credentials must provide proof of Canadian equivalency. Consult the Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials for further information at http://www.cicic.ca/.
Preference will be given to veterans and to Canadian citizens, in that order, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
